When winter gives us a cold recess!

It's incredible but this weekend we had a very nice weather!
It's true that we are not having a bad winter compare with the passed year but still really cold to enjoy riding or running outside.
Back to this weekend we reach temperatures of 10-12 C or 50-54 F, both days. On Saturday Matt Sertorio ran in the Topo Trail Series and you can read how good he did it here:

And today seem to be better than Saturday but as soon as we woke up we realize that gonna be a taught ride! Temperatures were good but the wind was terrible! grgrgrgrgrgrgrgr I remember the windy days in Barcelona riding on the N-II, I prefer to climb crazy than ride in flat with all the wind. For this reason we decide to do hills around Cincinnati in Ohio and crossing the river to climb in Kentucky.

Starting at 9am in the meeting point Marimont and  riding 117 km in a moderate pace 26 km/h average but with a good climbs at the end. Is not our best moment but still a lot of time till October when we are planning to do Barcelona IM.

For us (David, Matt and me) changing the bkool (trainer) for the outdoor ride it's like new batteries for our legs feeling the fresh air in our lungs it's much better than sweeting crazy in a closed room.
We don't know when we gonna ride again in the road but probably will be in March, let's see what the winter bring us the next months.

Good ride with best company!

Road to Barcelona!

  1. It was a really fun ride - a nice change from indoor on the bkool!

Marc and Matt are madmen on the hills. Thanks to them for always waiting for me on the top and pulling me through the wind.

Now it's winter again. Looking forward to being back outdoors!
