Super-Pro bike fitting by Mitch Graham at Biowheels shop in Cincinnati

Matt was the first one with the TT bike.......David went after with the new Pinarello Dogma ...... and a week ago I went to see Mitch for a bike fitting on my MTB. As we mention in a previous post, Mitch do the bike fitting with the Retul System that as far as I know is the best or one of the best fitting systems right now.
I did the bike fitting on my TT and on my road bike in Badalona with Joan Benach using the same system and I was extremely happy with the changes on my bike.
Last year I start doing MTB and I never thought that I will need a bike fitting, but after months and months with pain in my hands and in my back and shoulders I decide to ask Mitch about the possibility to do the fitting in a MTB.
Mitch spend more than 2 hours working with me and the bike, starting with some exercises and stretching to check what are my physical conditions and if I have any movement restriction. Also check the feet and ready to start on the bike.
10 minutes riding at the 80% aprox and we record a video before the fitting.
After that Mitch put me the sensors and start recording parameters and changing the high of the seat post and the stem to get the perfect position on the bike.
After all the work on the bike Mitch record me biking in the new position and you can see the difference watching the before and after videos. Easy for us to understand the work that he did.
The time flies when we where fitting the bike and chatting about cycling, it was an amazing time and the best of all is that on Saturday and Monday I rode with the bike and my pain in my hands are gone.!!!!! Really good job Mitch! Now I am ready to ride the 100 miles Mohican MTB race next weekend.
Thanks Mitch and Biowheels for all your help!!
If you need a bike fitting or you never did one in your bike I extremely recommend do ones and Mitch is the best for!

Our Super-Girls at the Flying Pig Half Marathon

The first weekend in May is always a big deal in Cincy - at least for those of us who are tired of pounding the treadmills over a long winter and are itching to head out into the sun. The Flying Pig is a run that many people take very seriously for qualifying and records and the like. Some of us take it seriously because we dread the hills but love the crowds that cheer and help us get the adrenaline rush till the end :)
This year was no different. The day was a gorgeous one, the sun rise breathtaking, the music at the start line infectiously peppy. We had been ditched by the rest of the Jovents but our enthusiasm was not deterred :P .
We set off at a brisk pace, across the bridges, a lovely cool breeze from the Ohio, a great crowd up and about to cheer even at 7am on a Saturday! 'Hurry up, it is time for my nap' said one slogan outside the old age home as we ran by, 'Ryan Gosling is waiting at the finish line' promised another. Oh, if only!! Mile 5 and we were running through downtown, the sidewalks busy, confetti and banners everywhere. Leading up to the dreaded mile 6. The hill up Gilbert. Then the hill up Eden. The hill past the gorgeous apartment building we all envy the view of. The hill that never seemed to end. I was ready to die. 'You are running better than the government' quipped one guy, that is some high class wit and cynical cheering for you. Thank goodness for the friend I ran with who never let up the pace or the steady encouragement. Then, finally, the upward climb seemed to slow. 'Downhill in a mile!' Yelled a bystander :) Oh i could have hugged them if I hadn't been so scared that if I stopped I would never be able to start up my legs again.
And then, finally, the promised downhill came. Madison was reached, and we caught our breaths. And then used all our downhill strategies. Down the road we flew, our legs moving with gravity that was finally on our side, recovering from the insult up the hills.
The music got louder as we rounded onto central parkway, the cheerleading people promising all kinds of  alcohol and carbs at the finish line. A little loop as we got onto the last mile. Many people kicking their last burst for the end, all of us going along with them. And then the overhead countdown to the shiny glittery finish line, spontaneous smiles on our faces as we thought of the waffles and bacon awaiting us at the end, legs pumping, not really feeling them but just operating them at the spinal level, and the ever present crowd so excited for all the finishes.
And we did it!!
Limping the moment we crossed the finish, trying to stretch instead of just flinging to the ground, high fives all around.
Cheers to us all!!
Cannot wait for next year!!

Perfect bike Fitting by Mitch Graham at Biowheels

Here in Cincinnati we don't have Joan Benach and bdnbiomecanica to do the bike fitting with the best system right now in the market, RETÜL System. But we are very lucky and we have Mitch Graham at Biowheels Cincinnati who uses the same system and he is an expert as well.
Mitch is the only Advanced Certified Fitter in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky with more than 20 years of experience in fitting studio. Awesome system and better professionalism. Lot of data to get you perfect on the bike "from the bottom to the top". After the fitting no more excuses on the bike!!!!!

Yesterday our Matt Sertorio did the TT fitting with Mitch. More than 2 hours working together to get the perfect and more efficient position on the bike. Now his TT bike is ready for the long rides preparing the next IronMan Barcelona on October 5th 2015.

Other members of the Jovent79 will follow Matt, for exemple Marc Oria is gonna fit his Mountain Bike for the Mohican 100 Miles.

Thanks Mitch for all your help and attention to the Jovent79 and for the patient work on the handlebar..."Each fitting as its own issue".

Working on the last bike details before the long training rides for IM Barcelona. Here more details about the fitting service : http://cincinnati.biowheels.com — at BioWheels.
